The Mind Behind Urban Rhythm
Hi, I'm Richel. Group fitness instructor and lover of movement, music, and a solid cappuccino before class.
I’ve been teaching group fitness since 2009. Born and raised in Rotterdam, I spent time living and teaching in Suriname, a beautiful country in South America. Now I live in Málaga, Spain where I continue to teach and inspire others through movement.
Sport has always been a huge part of my life. Not just for the workouts but for the fun, freedom, and community it brings. Urban Rhythm started when people in my classes began asking where I got my outfits. I realized there was a need for activewear that not only looked good but actually worked with your body. Pieces that don’t ride down during squats that hold your chest comfortably through jumping jacks and that stay opaque no matter how deep your lunge.
Being on the curvier side myself I know how important it is to feel confident and comfortable in your outfit. No tugging no adjusting no second-guessing. Just you moving freely.
I believe great activewear can give you that extra bit of confidence to show up move boldly and feel strong in your skin. Sometimes all it takes is the right outfit to remind you who you are.
Once the music hits I come alive. And I hope that through this space you’ll find outfits that help you come alive too.

Do you sell your own products?
Nope! I don’t sell anything directly. I curate and recommend fitness, style, and wellness products — and link to trusted shops like Amazon.
-
Are the links affiliate links?
Yes, some links are affiliate links. That means I may earn a small commission (at no extra cost to you!) if you buy something I recommend. I only link to things I genuinely love or use myself.
